A flowing domestic feel was established across five floors, with the original staircase extended both down to the basement and up to a new top level, uniting the verticality of the house.
The basement was altered considerably to introduce a central courtyard, fully opening the living space up.
Materials were carefully chosen: antique timber flooring reclaimed from a French château, clay walls, tadelakt and raised-grain timbers — all bringing depth and a sense of imperfection that defines the home’s character.
