Our team

Tom Rutt

Director. Tom set up the practice in 2015, following experience at Foster and Partners and Michaelis Boyd, with the goal to create timeless projects. Tom has an understanding of both traditional and modern architecture, he leads the team to create highly bespoke designs that respond to our current era but also with one foot in the future.

Helen Thomas

Senior Architect. Helen joined Tom when he formed TRS and has played an integral part since. Overseeing a number of the projects, Helen uses her experience to focus on many of the architectural and interior details to guide the design direction of the practice.

Joseph Browne

Project Architect. With his in-depth residential experience, Joe is a passionate architect who relishes high quality design and delivery.

Sayaka Namba

Project Architect. Sayaka has worked in a variety of different sectors prior to joining TR Studio. She draws inspiration from art in all its forms, as well as from crafts, exhibitions and travel.

James Fitzgerald

Project Architect. James started at TR Studio in 2018 and has since furthered his experience in the high-end residential sector. He has a passion for all aspects of design, including interiors, furniture and product design.

Emma Gibson

Project Architect. Emma has experience working across a range of scales, with a particular interest in housing typologies which question traditional notions of domesticity.

Sean Johnson

Project Architect. Sean has mainly worked on high-end houses and has experience in apartment, office, childcare and hotel design both in the UK and Australia. He is an ardent traveller which has further developed his understanding of differing architectural typologies.

Alex Ricketts

Architectural Designer. Alex has been involved with residential projects ranging in scale and has significant experience with interiors. She believes functional design coupled with quality detailing is the perfect foundation to create joy in living.
